My research interests lie at the intersection of applied linguistics and cultural studies. The core of my scholarly work is situated within glottodidactics, with particular emphasis on the teaching and learning of Italian and Russian as foreign languages. In recent years, I have focused on the analysis of multimodal discourse, encompassing both foreign language textbooks and audiovisual texts. My research examines the interplay between verbal text, visual elements, and other semiotic resources, as well as their role in meaning-making processes and in supporting communication and foreign language learning. I am also engaged in the design of individualized learning pathways and in academic tutoring, understood as a means of fostering student autonomy and the conscious development of linguistic and academic competences.
